Cauchy–Euler equation
In mathematics, an Euler–Cauchy equation, also known as a Cauchy–Euler equation, equidimensional equation, or Euler's equation, is a linear ordinary differential equation for which the homogeneous part is invariant under changes to the scale of its independent variable. Euler was the first we know of to study equations of this form in the early 1700's, with a notable appearance in Institutiones calculi integralis, volume 2 in 1768.
